Yesterday was the first day of school. The day started off stressful because I sent Emery and the neighbor boy on the wrong bus. The bus was on route to the middle school, but I did not realize it until it drove away with my child. My neighbor Tina and I waited until another bus stopped to tell them we sent our children on the wrong bus. As we were talking to the bus driver, Emery's name and Jeremy's name came over the radio. We got all excited and screamed, "That's our children!" The bus driver of the middle school bus said she would take them to middleton after her route was done. We were relieved. As the bus drove away, another bus comes by to pick-up at our stop. Wow, three buses stopped to take our children to school. We were confused. Why was it not so confusing last year? I called transportation to figure out which bus we were to take in the morning and afternoon. We found the right one this morning.
It was Moriah and Brooke's first day of pre-school yesterday as well. I signed them up at a pre-school run by the Lutheran church in Sherwood. It was convenient for me because they go on the same day, same time, but have different teachers. A nice break for me.
I took Brooke to class first, situated her, said good-bye, then took Moriah to her class. After saying good-bye to Moriah, I peeked my head into Brooke's class. I saw her crying, so I decided to wait behind the door until she stopped. The next thing I see is the teacher taking Brooke out of the class room heading to the bathroom. I said, "Oh no! Is something wrong?" The teacher asked if she was mine and I nodded. Then she explained that Brooke had thrown-up. I rushed in the bathroom, where she continued to throw-up. Poor child. I took her home and had a nice quiet afternoon together.

Was Brook sick? That's so sad! And was it her first day at school? That's too bad. Hope things are better now. Don't you just love all the extra time to yourself? Well, at least til the baby comes right? Do you sleep? or do you clean? or do you do something else for yourself?
